PENGUINS OF THE WORLD
 

There are four penguins in the Spheniscus genera,
 including our own Jackass (or African) Penguin

MAGELLANIC PENGUIN
(Spheniscus magellanicus)

WWF issue from Falkland Islands in 2003, featuring four penguins, among them the Magellanic.

The Magellanic Penguin is very closely related to our African Penguin,
 and normally inhabits the coast of South America.

 The Magellanic Penguin is a very rare vagrant to Southern Africa.
 The total population is estimated to be around 1 million birds.
