A small bird (30 cm), found in the southern oceans. It breeds on islands of Prince Edward, Marion, Crozet and Kerguelen. A solitary bird at sea, it is a rare but regular non breeding visitor to southern SA waters. It mainly lives off krill and small cephalopods.
