| A smallish bird (30 cm to 38 cm) it is found in the temperate and tropical Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. It breeds on islands in the Mediterranean, Hawaiian group, off the north American west coast and off New Zealand. It is a rare summer visitor to the south western waters of South Africa. Its main food source is fish, but it also lives off cephalopods and offal. | |
