| A small bird (25 cm to 30 cm) found in the temperate southern oceans and the N Atlantic. It breeds on many islands throughout the south. It is a rare non breeding visitor along the SW and E coasts of S Africa. It is a good swimmer and diver. Main diet is cephalopods but also eats fish and crustaceans. | |
