| A medium sized petrel (19 cm to 22 cm) distributed in the southern oceans including the sub-Antarctic. It breeds on many islands in the south and migrates north to the subtropics in the southern winter. A very rare vagrant to the south and west coasts of SA. It feeds off cephalopods, crustaceans and fish. | |
