| A medium petrel (20 cm) found in the temperate and tropical southern oceans. It breeds on the islands of Tristan da Cunha, Gough, Lord Howe, Austral and Juan Fernandaz group. A rare vagrant to SA waters, mainly the east coast. It feeds on the surface of the sea for fish, cephalopods and crustaceans. | |
