| A very large bird (about 140 cm) found in Africa south of the Sahara, Madagascar, and as a vagrant to India. An uncommon resident it is found in the north and east of southern Africa. It breeds all year round in Zimbabwe and June to January in South Africa. Main food is fish, frogs and small reptiles. | |
