| A largish bird (about 76 cm) found in most of Africa south of the Sahara and south western Arabia. In southern Africa it is a very common nonbreeding migrant occurring north of the Orange River. Highly gregarious, large flocks forage in open veld for larger insects, frogs, lizards and mice. | |
