| A large bird (about 120cm), a common migrant to South Africa. It breeds in Eurasia and North Africa and the extreme southern tip of Africa. It forages by walking across grasslands or marshlands and mostly eats large insects and small reptiles. The nest is a large platform of sticks in trees in the open veld. | |
