| A large bird (about 100cm), locally abundant in southern Africa (except Kalahari) but highly nomadic. It is also found in East Africa, Red Sea, Coastal West Africa, Madagascar and India. It inhabits large bodies of shallow water often mixed with Greater Flamingo. The main food is algae. | |
