A largish goshawk (46 cm to 54 cm) a near endemic found in southern Africa and sw Angola. In southern Africa it is a common resident found in the western parts in arid savannah and tree lined water courses. Sometimes follows Honey Badgers for disturbed animals and lives off lizards, small birds and mammals.
