| A medium bird (34 cm to 38 cm) found worldwide. Two subspecies are found in southern Africa, one a rare non-breeding Palearctic migrant and the other a rare resident. It is found at cliffs, mountains and steep gorges. It dives catching birds, which are normally killed instantly. | |
