| A medium bird (about 38 cm) distributed in south east Africa from South Africa to Zambia. In southern Africa it is mainly found in the eastern parts. It is a common resident and is found in small coveys. It lives in dense thickets along water courses and eats mollusks, insects, roots and bulbs. | |
