| A very large bird (about 105 cm) found in Africa from South Africa to Kenya and Uganda. In southern Africa it is a common resident confined to the north, north east and south east. It inhabits marshes, vleis and moist grasslands and is found in large flocks when not breeding. It often performs dancing displays during breeding. The main diet is frogs, reptiles and insects. | |
