A small bird (14 cm to 16 cm) found in eastern southern Africa and Ethiopian highlands. There are isolated records of the bird in southern Africa, but it is possibly a very rare breeding migrant to the region. It is a solitary bird, inhabiting large marshes. It feeds off insects.
