| A small bird (18 cm to 21 cm) found in Africa and Aldabra. In southern Africa it is a breeding migrant found in the eastern Cape, Natal and Zimbabwe. It is a solitary bird found in marshes, small vleis, flooded grasslands and edges of drainage ditches. Its main diet is snails but it also eats insects and worms. | |
