Rare Straggler
A medium bird (24 cm) which breeds in Siberia to Alaska. It migrates to se Asia, Australia and the Pacific Islands. It is a rare straggler to the coasts of southern Africa. It inhabits marine shores and estuaries and lives off insects, mollusks and crustaceans
