Red-eyed Dove


A medium to large bird (33 to 36 cm), found in Africa south of the Sahara. In southern Africa it is a common resident whose range is spreading, found in the south, east and north-east. It lives in woodlands, plantations and suburban gardens with large trees. It feeds off seeds, bread and termite alates.
