| A smallish bird (about 25 cm), found throughout Africa, Arabia and central Asia. It is a very common resident, found throughout southern Africa in a wide variety of habitats excluding the arid parts. It is fairly tame and lives off seeds, fallen grain, insects and larvae. | |
