| A medium to large pigeon (28 to 30 cm), found in Africa south of the Sahara. In southern Africa it is a common resident found in the north and eastern areas. It inhabits woodland, especially riverine fig forests, and is found in small groups. It lives off fruit (mainly figs). | |
