| A large bird ( 37 to 40 cm) found in Africa, southern Europe and the Middle East. In southern Africa it is a locally common non breeding migrant found in the northern and eastern areas. It is found in pairs or small groups and inhabits woodland and savanna. It usually eats caterpillars. | |
