| A large bird (48 to 53 cm) found in southern and eastern Africa. In southern Africa it is an uncommon to rare resident found in the southern and western Cape, through to the eastern Transvaal. It inhabits rocky and mountainous country and is solitary and nocturnal. It eats small mammals and birds. | |
