| A medium bird (25 to 29 cm), found in southern Europe and Russia, throughout Africa and southern Africa. Two populations, one breeding in the north and the other in southern Africa. It is a locally common bird, gregarious at all times and inhabiting woodland, savanna and scrubby grassland. It eats insects. | |
