| A medium bird (23 to 24 cm), found from southern Africa to Angola, Zaire and Tanzania. It is a common resident of the central, eastern and northern parts of southern Africa. It is usually solitary and inhabits thornveld, thickets in woodlands and gardens. It eats insects, worms and fruit. | |
