The Dune Lark is a medium sized bird (17 cm) endemic to Namibia. It is a common resident of the sand dunes or sandy flats of the Namib Desert. It is solitary, but also found in pairs and small groups (up to 8 birds). It is active in the early morning and again in the late afternoon. It eats insects and seeds.
