A small bird (12-13 cm), distributed from Maputo to Eritrea and Senegal. It is an uncommon resident found in Mocambique. It inhabits reedbeds. Little is known about the bird, but it is similar to the African Reed-Warbler
Not included in Roberts 7 and considered a sub-species of African Reed- Warbler by Clements
