BROAD-TAILED WARBLER

(Schoenicola brevirostris or Schoenicola platyura (brevirostris) (H))

A smallish bird (15-16 cm), distributed from South Africa to Ethiopia. It is confined to the moister eastern parts of the region. It is a locally sparse resident, with some altitudinal migration, inhabiting vleis. It eats insects.
