No distribution (rare vagrant)
A smallish bird (16 cm), breeding in South Western Asia and wintering in north eastern Africa.  A rare vagrant to Southern Africa, identified once in the Karoo in July 2006.  It frequents scrub and thickets in semi-arid areas and is generally solitary.  Its main food is insects.
