| A smallish bird (14-15 cm), distributed from South Africa to Angola and Zambia. It is a locally common resident of the north western half of the region and inhabits dry savanna, especially Acacia. It is usually in pairs and eats seeds and insects. It is host to the Shaft-tailed Whydah. | |
